Answer:

  1. Cold currents
  2. Warm currents.

Explanation:

Sea currents, in a simplified form, are the streams of water with common characteristics that move along the oceans. As temperature is one of the main factors related to this ocean water dynamics, it is used as a criterion for the classification of ocean currents. Thus, the currents are divided into warm and cold.

Warm currents: They come from the equatorial ranges of the planet, where the heat stroke is higher and the temperatures too. These characteristics make them more shallow and move faster than other currents. In them, the evaporation rate is higher, which causes the areas bathed by them to receive a greater amount of moisture. The main warm currents are the Guyana, Gulf of Mexico and Brazil currents.

Cold currents: Conversely, cold currents come from polar bands with high latitudes and are therefore colder. They move toward the Equator Line. Because cold substances are naturally denser, these currents tend to be deeper and move more slowly. Similarly, the evaporation rate is lower, making the surrounding areas receive less moisture and rainfall. The main cold currents are those of Humboldt, on the west coast of South America, and the Antarctic Circumpolar.

We have already talked about another class of chemicals that helps send signals in the body—neurotransmitters. How are neurotr
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

Similarities: both are chemical messengers, both can have (but don't necessarily have) similar structures (made from amino acids), both can be produced by the central nervous system (hypothalamus produces some hormones), certain molecules can act as both hormones and neurotransmitters (example: norepinephrine).

Differences: neurotransmitters are released by neurons across a synaptic gap, have very short distances to travel, and act very quickly on the neighboring cell. Hormones are released by glands and often have to travel longer distances, which means that they are slower-acting. Also, hormones are typically used for regulation (negative feedback) while neurotransmitters are used for stimulation of a neighboring cell.

Is the creation of genetically unique offspring by two parents?
viktelen [127]
The answer is sexual reproduction in which the creation of offspring by fertilization consisting 2 haploid gametes come together to form a diploid zygote with a new genetic combination. The main difference between sexual and asexual reproduction is that asexual reproduction results in a genetically identical offspring whereas sexual reproduction results in a unique offspring in which offspring with a new genetic combination.

What is free nitrogen?
UNO [17]

Answer:

Nitrogen thet cannot be used by organisms. C.

Explanation:

Free nitrogen is simply molecular nitrogen (N2). Nitrogen, in its molecular form, consists of two nitrogen atoms bound together with a tripple bond. Because it is very stable, N2 is typically nonreactive, and takes a lot of energy to break them apart. Among these are the amino acids necessary for life to begin and which are the building blocks DNA is made from. Basically, any nitrogen that is in an organic compound is considered “fixed” nitrogen and N2 is considered to be “free” nitrogen
