The UV rays could harm the DNA of skin cells. Skin cancers begin when the said harm affects the genes’ DNA which control the growth of the skin cell. There are three main types of UV rays, the first one is called UVA rays. They can damage the DNA of skin cells and age them. They are connected to long-term skin damage, however they are also thought to cause some skin cancers. The second one is called UVB rays, they have a little more energy than UVA rays. They are thought to cause most skin cancers as well. They can immediately damage the DNA of skin cells. The third one is called UVC rays, they have a greater amount of energy than the other types of UV rays, however they don’t usually cause skin cancer.

Which of the following would not be considered a point source pollution contributor? a. an animal feedlot b. cattle on rangeland
Luden [163]
The correct answer is b: cattle on rangeland. A point source of pollution occurs from a single identifiable and usually spatially narrow source. These sources of pollution are usually relatively easily to quantify and manage. In contrast, a non-point source of pollution, such as cattle on rangeland or irrigated agriculture, is variable on both spatial and temporal scales. These sources of pollution are difficult to quantify and manage.

Answer:

Proteins are the major 'working molecules' within every organism. Among their many jobs, proteins catalyse reactions, transport oxygen and defend organisms from infection- like a doctor for organisms. The precise shape of each protein, and its genes, along with the amino acids it contains, determines what it does, some develop different traits and they may also copy traits of related organisms, which means some organisms may create more protein depending on their traits.

Which part of the eye helps focus light rays on the retina?
grandymaker [24]

The right answer is A. lens

The eye-lens is a natural convergent lens of the eye.

The eye has two natural convergent lenses: the cornea, located at the entrance of the eye, and the crystalline, biconvex lens located behind the iris and connected to the envelopes of the eye by the ciliary body. These two lenses focus the light rays on the retina, which acts as a screen in the back of the eye.
