A) Minimum at (5,3) because the 4 (a) and the b (in front of the x is 1) are positive, the relation will be positive. When looking at the h (-5) you must always consider it as if it was the opposite sign. So here it's negative so in reality it's positive.

7,676 rounded to the nearest hundred
Gala2k [10]

the nearest hundred spot is 700 for the number. when rounding for hundreds, you use the 2nd digit number. Example, if a proablem asks to round 521 to the nearest hundred it would be 500. Another rule to remember is that anything 5 and above you round up (ex: 589 would round up to 600). Anything below 5 you would round down (ex: 234 would round down to 200). goinf back to the problem, the answer should be 7,700

Find the perimeter of pentagon STUVW WITH VERTICES S(0,0) T(3,-2) U(2,-5) V(-2,-5) W(-3,-2)
andrew11 [14]
Use the distance formula.

\sqrt{( x_{2} - x_{1} )^2 + (y_{2} - y_{1})^2}

Points S and W.
\sqrt{(3)^2 + (2)^2}

\sqrt{9+4}

\sqrt{13}

~3.6

Points S and T
\sqrt{(3 - 0)^2 + (-2 - 0)^2}

\sqrt{(3)^2 + (-2)^2}

\sqrt{9+4}

\sqrt{13}

~3.6

Points T and U
\sqrt{(3 - 2)^2 + (-2 + 5)^2}

\sqrt{(1)^2 + (3)^2}

\sqrt{1+9}

\sqrt{10}

~3.1

Points U and V
\sqrt{(2+2)^2 + (-5 + 5)^2}

\sqrt{(4)^2 + (0)^2}

\sqrt{16}

~4

Points V and W
\sqrt{(-2+3)^2 + (-5 + 2)^2}

\sqrt{(1)^2 + (-3)^2}

\sqrt{2+9}

\sqrt{11}

~3.3

Add all these together.

3.3 + 3.1 + 4 + 3.1 + 3.6

Simplify 14a over 15 Plus 2a + 36 over 5
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

(20a+108)/15

Step-by-step explanation:

First find LCM of the denominators. U will find it to be 15

Then calculate the number like this.

[(14a)×1/15×1]+[(2a+36)×3/5]

[(14a/15)]+[(6a+108)/15

(14a+6a+108)/15

(20a+108)/15
