Due to the decay of naturally radioactive substances, or even due to the heat made by the movement of the tectonic plates, and formation of gravitational acceleration, the temperature increases.

[OU.04]What type of galaxy is described as having a circular shape with most of the objects concentrated around its center? spir
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

spiral

Explanation:

A galaxy may be defined as the huge collection of celestial bodies like the stars, planets, dark matters, dust and gases and the solar systems. It is derived from the Greek work, 'Galaxias' , which means "milky". There are many types of galaxies. They are : Spiral galaxy, Elliptical galaxy, Irregular galaxy and Barred spiral galaxy.

A spiral galaxy is one which contains a sphere shaped bulge which consists of old stars and it is devoid of dust and gas. Its circular shape composes a disk. It is of circular shape having most of the objects concentrated in its center.

What is absolute zero? What is the temperature of absolute zero on the Kelvin and Celsius scales?
salantis [7]

Answer:

Absolute zero = 0 K or - 273°C

Explanation:

Absolute zero :

 When the entropy and enthalpy of the ideal system reach at the minimum value then the temperature at that condition is known as absolute zero condition.

Absolute temperature is the minimum temperature in the temperature scale.The value of absolute zero is 0 K.

We know that

\dfrac{C-0}{100}=\dfrac{K-273}{100}=\dfrac{F-32}{180}

F=Temperature in Fahrenheit scale

K=Temperature in Kelvin scale

C=Temperature in degree Celsius scale

When  K = 0

\dfrac{C-0}{100}=\dfrac{K-273}{100}

\dfrac{C-0}{100}=\dfrac{0-273}{100}

C= - 273°C

Absolute zero = 0 K or - 273°C

A 0.500-kg mass suspended from a spring oscillates with a period of 1.18 s. How much mass must be added to the object to change
olga55 [171]

Answer:

<em> The add mass = 5.465 kg</em>

Explanation:

Note: Since the spring is the same, the length and Tension are constant.

f ∝ √(1/m)........................ Equation 1  (length and Tension are constant.)

Where f = frequency, m = mass of the spring.

But f = 1/T ..................... Equation 2

Substituting Equation 2 into equation 1.

1/T ∝ √(1/m)

Therefore,

T ∝ √(m)

Therefore,

T₁/√m₁ = k

where k = Constant of proportionality.

T₁/√m₁ = T₂/√m₂ ........................ Equation 3

making m₂ the subject of the equation

m₂ = T₂²(m₁)/T₁²........................... Equation 4

Where T₁ = initial, m₁ = initial mass, T₂ = final period, m₂ = final mass.

<em>Given: T₁ = 1.18 s m₁ = 0.50 kg, T₂ = 2.07 s.</em>

<em>Substituting into equation 4</em>

<em>m₂ = (2.07)²(0.5)/(1.18)²</em>

<em>m₂ = 4.285(1.392)</em>

<em>m₂ = 5.965 kg.</em>

Added mass = m₂ - m₁

Added mass = 5.965 - 0.5

Added mass = 5.465 kg.

<em>Thus the add mass = 5.465 kg</em>
