There are 10 letters in statistics and there are two i's there so 2:10 odds = 1:5 or 20%

There are 10 letters, but only 2 of them are "I."

Thus, the odds of rand. drawing the letter "I" are two in ten, or 2/10, or 0.20.

Two smoothies and an ice cream cone cost $7.50. Three smoothies and two ice cream cones cost $12. Calculate the cost of a smooth
anygoal [31]

Answer:

Smoothie = 3

Ice cream = 1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

2s + i = 7.5

3s + 2i = 12

subtract the equations

(3s + 2i) - (2s + i) = s + i

s + i = 4.5

2s + i = 7.5,  so s must equal 3 (7.5 - 4.5)

If s = 3, then i is 1.5 (4.5 - 3.5)

To check, plug 3 and 1.5 into s and i.

2(3) + 1.5 = 7.5

6 + 1.5 = 7.5

7.5 = 7.5

3(3) + 2(1.5) = 12

9 + 3 = 12

12 = 12

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) gave a test of basic arithmetic and the ability to apply it in everyday l
mylen [45]

Answer:

a) 2.0702

b) 2.07

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Sample, n = 840

standard deviation, σ = 60

a) The standard deviation of the sampling distribution, will be:

= \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

= \frac{60}{\sqrt{840}}

= 2.0702

Standard deviation of the sampling distribution is 2.0702

b) According to the 68 part of the 68-95-99.7 rule, 68% of all values of x fall within 1 standard deviation on either side of the unknown mean μ.

Therefore, missing number will be:

1 * [\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}]

= 1 * 2.0702

= 2.0702 ≈ 2.07

2 divided by 1 and 6/7
ale4655 [162]

This problem, as written, requires a bit of guessing regarding your intentions.  My interpretation is that you want to do this division:

    2

----------

 1  6/7

If that's correct, here's what to do:  rewrite 1  6/7 as 13/7 (an improper fraction).

Then divide:

   2

--------      This is equivalent to the multiplication (2/1)(7/13) = 14/13 (answer)

 13/7

(8x-5) (2x) (3x-10). what is the largest angle??
kompoz [17]
8x-5 would be the largest angle because as you approach a larger and larger x value, 8x-5 will skyrocket past the other two. Also when you plug in a low value like 1, 8x-5=3, which is still higher than the other two. The only exception is if you plug in a negative x value which is impossible.
8x-5
