Given a regular pentagon,

Two sides of the pentagon are produced to form angle x.

Therefore, x is an interior angle

We know that the Sum of exterior angles of a pentagon = 360°

In a regular pentagon, all angles are equal,

Therefore, each exterior angle of a regular pentagon = 360/5 = 72 degrees

We also know that an exterior angle and its corresponding interior angle are supplements.

Therefore, each interior angle of a regular pentagon = 180 – 72 = 108 degrees

Therefore, x = 108 degrees

How many times does the equation f(x)=2x^2+9x-5 intersect the x-axis
Komok [63]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=2x^2+9x-5

When we are find how many times it intersects the x axis, we are finding the zero's. Set the equation equal to zero

0=2x^2+9x-5

Factor the equation

0 = (2x+1) (x-5)

2*1

1*-5 = -5

2*-5 +1*1 = -9

This checks for the first last and middle terms so we factored correctly

Then using the zero product property

2x+1 = 0 and x-5 =0

2x = -1    x=5

x = -1/2  and x=5

This function crosses the x axis 2 times

Find the value of 15625 × (-2) + (-15625) × 98
gregori [183]

Answer:

-1562500

Step-by-step explanation:

15625 × (-2) + (-15625) × 98 = -31250 + (-1531250)

                                              = -31250 - 1531250

                                              = -1562500

Danielle earns a 7.75% commission on everything she sales at the electronic store where she works. She also earns a base salary
Andrew [12]

The first thing thing you must do is create an equation for this problem. Remembering that 7.75% = 0.0775

($4,100 × 0.0775 + $4,100 ) + $600

Now, all you have to do is solve it. You will first have to start with the numbers in the parenthesis using the order of operation (PEMDAS).

P = Parenthesis

E = Exponent

M = Multiplication

D = Division

A = Addition

S = Subrtaction

$4,100 × 0.0775 + $4,100 ) + $600

$4,417. 75 + $4,100 + $600

$4,417. 75 + $600 = $5,017.75

Danielle made $5,017. 17 last week.

I hope this helps! :)
