Subtract 10 from both sides
4x = -26 -10
simplify
4x = -36
divide both sides by 4

x = -9
hope this helps!

-5 - 12 = -17

Starts at -5 degrees, then it drops another 12, so you subtract 12 from -5.

Need the answer for this thanks. I got C but that is incorrect. Please show work thanks!
natulia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a: Wrong. The first thing that you have to notice is that the sum goes to infinity. If you want k=4 to be the last condition, then take out the 3 dots.

b: That's the answer.

c: wrong. You get a real mess when you let set k = 0. Try it on your calculator.

1 ÷ 0 = Watch carefully as your calculator mentally melts down.

d: wrong. It's just not right. The highest power is k^2. There is no way to get k^3

The complete question is

"What is the value of this expression when c= -4 and d= 10?

1/4 (c^3+d²)

A.2

B.9

C.21

D.41"

The value of this expression when c = -4 and d = 10 will be option B 9.

<h3>What is a simplification of an expression?</h3>

Usually, simplification involves proceeding with the pending operations in the expression.

Simplification usually involves making the expression simple and easy to use later.

The given expression is

1/4 (c^3+d^2)\\\\1/4 ((-4)^3+(10)^2)\\\\1/4 ( -64 + 100)\\\\1/4 (36)\\\\9

Hence, the value of this expression when c = -4 and d = 10 will be option B 9.
