Explanation

The swelling of lymph nodes can mean exposure to viruses and bacteria. Infections can result into swollen lymph nodes a condition called Lymphadenitis.  Cancer can also cause lymph nodes to swell. Lymph nodes act as filters which trap viruses and bacteria preventing them from spreading the infection to other parts of our body.
