1.solve the following equation for y 3x- 2y= 6
harkovskaia [24]
So,

For number one, there will be an infinite number of solutions, as there are two placeholders.
3x - 2y = 6
It seems we can use the intercept method.
3x - 2(0) = 6
3x = 6

Divide both sides by 3
x = 2

This is one solution: (2,0)

3(0) - 2y = 6
-2y = 6

Divide both sidees by -2
y = -3

This is another solution: (0,-3)
You should now be able to draw the line.
If you want intercept form for this equation, just manipulate the equation in order to get the y = mx + b form.

Subtract 3x from both sides
-2y = -3x + 6

Divide both sides by -2
y =  \frac{3}{2} x + 6

For the second problem, simply manipulate the equation.
\frac{1}{3} (6x - 9) =  \frac{3}{4} (4x - 8)

Distribute
2x - 3 = 3x - 6

Subtract 2x from both sides
-3 = x - 6

Add 6 to both sides
3 = x

For the third problem, do the same thing.
\frac{3(2x-1)}{4} = x +  \frac{7}{2}

We must first multiply both sides by 4.
3(2x-1) = 4x + 14

Distribute
6x - 3 = 4x + 14

Subtract 4x from both sides
2x - 3 = 14

Add 3 to both sides
2x = 17

Divide both sides by 2
x =  \frac{17}{2} \ or\ 8 \frac{1}{2}

Construction This section of a concrete skateboard ramp has the shape of a triangular prism. Find the volume
irina [24]

Answer:

volume = 73.3ft³

value = $194.4

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of prism = (½bh)l

=(½×4×4)×9.2

=73.6ft³

value of concrete

1ft³ : $4.00

73 .6ft³ : X

X : (73.6ft³ × $4.00) ÷ 1ft³

X : $294.4

Factorise 6xy - 15y2
hoa [83]

Answer:

3y(2x - 5y).

Step-by-step explanation:

6xy is basically 2 * 3 * x * y.

-15y^2 is basically -1 * 3 * 5 * y * y.

Something both have in common are a 3 and a y.

So, we have...

3 * y(2 * x - 1 * 5 *y)

= 3y(2x - 5y).

Hope this helps!

Solve each equation 3m-3/5=2m-1/2
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

m= 1/10

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Move the terms so that will be 3m - 2m=-1/2 + 3/5

2. Subtract the m values so that will be 3m - 2m= 1 or m

3. Calculate the sum.

4. So the answer will be m= 1/10. M because we subtracted 2 from 3 which make us 1 so we say it m and 1/10 by doing 1/2 + 3/5.
