it the cost of the table is 40 more than the chairs than one chair is 166.25 and the table is 206.25 so one table plus two chairs is 538.75 and how is you take the total subtract the 40 extra for the table then divide by 4 because of three chairs and the table then take that amount (the price of one chair) and add 40 to get the cost of the table then take the cost of the chair, double it, then add the table to get the total of $538.75

hope that helps brainlyest pls?

The difference between 5 times a number and 3 is 12
igor_vitrenko [27]
5x -3 = 12
5x -3 + 3 = 12 + 3 [Add 3 to each side]
5x + 0 = 15  [Evaluate]
5x/5 = 15/5 [Divide each side by 5]
1x = 3 [Evaluate]

The answer I get is the number 3.

Hair colors are an example of which type of data?
kotykmax [81]

Answer:

Nominal data are used to label variables without any quantitative value. Common examples include male/female (albeit somewhat outdated), hair color, nationalities, names of people, and so on. In plain English: basically, they're labels (and nominal comes from "name" to help you remember). You have brown hair (or brown eyes).

What is the reciprocal of 1 and 2/3?
mr_godi [17]

Answer: 3/5

Step-by-step explanation: To find the reciprocal of 1 and 2/3, we first need to convert 1 and 2/3 to an improper fraction.

To write a mixed number as an improper fraction, first multiply the denominator times the whole number, then add the numerator.

So here, we multiply the denominator, 3, times the whole number, 1, then we add the numerator. So we have (3 x 1) + 2 or 3 + 2 which is 5.

Now we put our new number over our old denominator and we get 5/3.

However, we're not done yet. We still need to find the reciprocal.

The reciprocal describes a fraction so when we're asked to find the reciprocal of 5/3, we want to switch the numerator and denominator.

So if we switch 5/3, we get the proper fraction 3/5.

Therefore, the mixed number 1 and 2/3 is equivalent to the improper fraction 5/3, and if we switch the top and bottom numbers, we get 3/5.
