Answer:- D shows the triangle pairs which can be mapped to each other using a single translation.

Explanation:-

Translation is a rigid transformation which creates a congruent image as that of the original figure such that the distance between the each point of the original figure and the image is fixed and same.

The translation mapping is given by (x,y)→(x+h,y+k) ,where h is the distance of the x coordinate of the each point of the original figure to the image and k is the distance of the y coordinate of the each point of the original figure to the image.

In figure D we can see that the distance between each point of ΔCED is equal to the distance between each point of ΔMPN. Thus it shows the triangle pairs which can be mapped to each other using a single translation.

The Figure 4 is correct as the triangle MNP and CDE can be mapped to each other using a translation.

Further explanation:

Translation can be defined as to move the function to a certain displacement. If the points of a line or any objects are moved in the same direction it is a translation.

Explanation:

The angle MNP is equal to the angle CDE.

The side PN is equal to the side ED.

The side MN is equal to the side CD.

The translation mapping of a single translation can be expressed as follows,

\left( {x,y}\right) \Rightarrow \left({x + h,y + k} \right)

Here, h represents the distance of translation in x-axis and k represents the distance of translation in y-axis.

In Figure 1 the triangle MNP and CDE cannot be mapped to each other using a single translation.

In Figure 2 the triangle MNP and CDE cannot be mapped to each other using a single translation.

In Figure 3 the triangle MNP and CDE cannot be mapped to each other using a single translation.

In Figure 4 the triangle MNP and CDE can be mapped to each other using a translation.

Hence, the Figure 4 is correct as the triangle MNP and CDE can be mapped to each other using a translation.

Two particles are fixed to an x axis: particle 1 of charge -1.00 x 10-7 C is at the origin and particle 2 of charge +1.00 x 10-7
r-ruslan [8.4K]
The electric field strength at any point from a charged particle is given by E = kq/r^2 and we can use this to calculate the field strength of the two fields individually at the midpoint.

The field strength at midway (r = 0.171/2 = 0.0885 m) for particle 1 is E = (8.99x10^9)(-1* 10^-7)/(0.0885)^2 = -7.041 N/C and the field strength at midway for particle 2 is E = (8.99x10^9)(5.98* 10^-7)/(0.0935)^2 = -7.041 N/C

Note the sign of the field for particle 1 is negative so this is attractive for a test charge whereas for particle 2 it is positive therefore their equal magnitudes will add to give the magnitude of the net field, 2*7.041 N/C = 14.082 N/C

A radius is an angle that connects any point on the circle to the center of that circle.
Flura [38]

The answer is false.

A radius is a segment that connects any point on the circle to the center of said circle. An angle requires two lines, and a radius only consists of one line, which further proves that this statement is false.
