Answer:

Post emergence herbicides has been most effective on Emerged weed I.e weed that is spring up from the soil.

Explanation:

Weeds are unwanted plant or vegetation that grow on the field.

Herbicides are toxic substances that are used to kill or control unwanted vegetation, hence they are called weed killers.

Herbicides are classified into pre-emergence and post emergence herbicides.

Pre-emergence herbicides are herbicides use to control weed before they emerged.

Post emergence herbicides are herbicides use to control emerged weeds.

Post emergence herbicide is classified into contact and systemic post emergence herbicides.

Contact post emergence herbicids only control the plant parts they come in contact with while systemic post emergence herbicides are translocated to all over the plant parts.

A gene on strand of DNA has the following nucleotide sequence: CCCAAGTGG

A) GGG UUC ACC

B) CCC AAG TGG

C) GGG TTC ACC

D) UUU CCC AGA

Explanation:

What are the mRNA triplets coded for from this gene?

A) GGG UUC ACC

RNA codons determine certain amino acids, so the order in which the bases occur within in the codon sequence designates which amino acid is to be made bus with the four RNA nucleotides (Adenine, Guanine, Cysteine and Uracil). Up to 64 codons (with 3 as stop codons) determine amino acid synthesis. The stop codons ( UAG UGA UAA) terminate amino acid/ protein synthesis while the start codon AUG begins protein synthesis.

Further Explanation:

All the genetic information within the eukaryotic cell is stored within the nucleus as helical DNA. This DNA is condensed and tightly wound around histones as chromosomes. Chromosomes within the nucleus is unwound, unzipped and read by enzymes in a complex series of steps known as transcription. The message on DNA, called genes is copied by RNA polymerase, to form mRNA complementary sequence to that of the DNA strand. These are then translated into proteins in ribosomes.

Nucleic acids like DNA stores all of an organism’s genetic information. Nucleic acid molecules comprise the nitrogenous bases Guanine, Adenine, Cytosine and Thymine. Conversely, RNA nucleotides are Adenine, Guanine, Cysteine and Uracil. These pair up as base pairs due to their varied structure- largely influenced by the location of N molecule.

In certain combinations, these bases form codons which act as instructions for protein synthesis. Codons are three nucleotide bases encoding an amino acid or signal at the beginning or end of protein synthesis. Thus, these contribute to the broad diversity of living organisms, as varied combinations of these 64 codons can produce many proteins which can be organized into cells, tissues and organisms.

⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠One fossil is found in a deeper layer of rock than another one. How is this evidence of change over time of living things
Mademuasel [1]
Some of the evidence comes from fossils, and some comes from studies that show how similar living things are to one another. By the 1930s, scientists had also learned about genes. As a result, they could finally explain how characteristics of organisms could pass from one generation to the next and change over time

Proteins act as what in cells to control reactions
Damm [24]

The answer is; catalyst

These proteins are called enzymes. They work by lowering the activation energy of reactants and hence speed up the biochemical reaction. They are not affected in the process hence one enzyme molecule can catalyze many reactions. An example of such an enzyme is carbonic anhydrase that enables carbon dioxide to dissolve in blood plasma as carbonic acid.

guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

Platelets would release signals to stimulate the production of more platelets

Explanation:

Positive feedback mechanism is one of the two types of feedback mechanisms (other being negative feedback mechanism) in which the products of a process stimulates more of that product to be synthesized or produced. In other words, the result of a reaction increases the secretion of more results.

In this case where the injured tissue of a cut initially releases chemical signals into the bloodstream. These chemicals signal platelets to be attracted to the injured area. However, if this is a positive feedback mechanism as explained above, Platelets would release signals to stimulate the production of more platelets.
