The circumference of any circle is
diameter x pi.

Distance around the outside of the walk is (150+2+2) pi = 154 pi feet.

Distance around the inside of the walk is 150 pi feet.

Difference = 4 pi feet.

Same as if you strung a string around the Earth that was 2 feet off the surface everywhere.

The string would be 4pi feet longer than the Earth's circumference at the surface ... about 12.5 feet.

Answer: 12.56 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The width of the circular path= 2 feet

The inner diameter of circular path= 150 feet

Therefore, the inner radius of circular path=\frac{150}{2}=75\ ft

Now, the outer radius= 75+2=77 feet

We know that the circumference= 2\pi r

Inner circumference= 2\pi 75=150\pi

Outer circumference= 2\pi 77=154\pi

The difference= 154\pi-150\pi=4\pi=4\times3.14=12.56\ feet

Hence, the outer edge of the path is 12.56 feet farther than the inner edge

Answer:

The rock hits the ground between <u>2</u> seconds and <u>2.5</u> seconds after it is dropped

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table is presented as follows;

\begin{array}{ccl}t&h(t)&Description\\0&20&Initial \ height\\0.5&18.8&Rock \ in \ downward \ motion\\1&15.1&\\1.5&9&\\2&0.4&The \ height \ just \ before \ the \ rock \ hits \ the \ ground \\2.5&-10.6&The \ calculated \ height \ after\ the \ rock \ hits \ the \ ground \\3&-24.1&Calculated \ height \ after\ the \ rock \ hits \ the \ ground\end{array}

Therefore, the rock hits the ground between t = 2 seconds and t = 2.5 seconds after it is dropped.

Over the summer, for every 14 Okra seeds Dana planted, 9 plants grew. If he planted 182 seeds, how many grew into plants?
vova2212 [387]
Simple...

you have: For every 14 seeds that Okra seeds Dana planted 9 of them grew; if he planted 182 seeds..how many grew?

Set up an equation...

\frac{9}{14} = \frac{x}{182}

Cross multiply....

14*x=14x

9*182=1638

14x=1638

\frac{14x}{14} = \frac{1638}{14} =117&#10;

x=117

This means that, for 182 seeds planted, 117 of them grew to be plants.

Thus, your answer.

Answer:

849.24 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

we know it is a cube so to find the surface area of each square you do

12x12=144 and there are 5 sides so 144x5=720

We know sides of the squares are 12 cm so half of that (6) would be the bottom of the triangle

Now using pythagorus you would do a²+b²=c²

15²+6²=c²

225+36=c²

√261=√c²

16.15=c       this only half of one of the sides of the pyramid so you would times 16.15 by 8 to equal 129.24

now add 720+129.24=849.24 cm²
