Pythagorean Theorem Formula: a² + b² = c²

9² + 13² = x²
81 + 169 = x²
250 = x²
square root of 250 = 15.8
15.8 is already rounded.

8² + b² = 12²
64 + b² = 144
144 - 64 = 80
square root of 80 = 8.9
8.9 is already rounded.

10² + 12² = x²
100 + 144 = x²
244 = x²
square root of 244 = 15.6
15.6 is already rounded.

I am currently working on this in my class so I have this fresh in my mind.
Hope this Helps!!

What are the X- and y- intercepts of the line? 2x + 3y = -12
Lera25 [3.4K]
Subtract 2x from both sides.

3y = - 2x - 12

Divide every term by 3 to get the y-variable by itself.

y = - 2/3x - 4

Since the equation is not in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b), your y-intercept is just the number in the b slot. Y-intercept is - 4 or (0, - 4).

Now to find your x-intercept, plug in 0 where the y-variable is and solve for x.

0 = - 2/3x - 4
4 = - 2/3x

Multiply both sides by - 3/2 to isolate the variable.

4(- 3/2) = x
- 12/2 = x
- 6 = x.

Your x-intercept is - 6 or (- 6, 0).

|x−y+z|, if x=3; y=−2; z=−6
Finger [1]

Answer:

1

Step-by-step explanation:

Try the question without the absolute value brackets first.

Then it would be 3+2-6

Since it states "x-y" and y is -2, then it would be 3+2 since a negative times a negative becomes a positive

Same thing for "z", instead of +6 it would be -6 because a negative times a positive is still a negative

Now, 3+2-6 is -1 but MAKE SURE to put the absolute value brackets back. Making the answer a positive number. Therefore, it would be 1
