I believe that the Hawaiian island chain formed from a line of underwater volcanoes erupting. The magma from the eruptions would've hardened forming once it reached the surface creating land.

What do whale worms eat? Why are whale remains able to support so much life? (Site 1)
oee [108]

The whale worms feed on the bones of the whale. The skeleton of the whale consists of huge amount of oil and thus is able to support enormous life. Usually a large whale fish bone is made up of 60% oil which is approximately equal to 6-7 tons of oils. The male whale worms live with in the bodies of the female worms. As many as 50-100 males may reside in one female. These worm species live in dandelion weeds and produce lots of eggs,  grow fast and then disperse fast.

After consuming  whale skeleton,  all the worms at that site will die off. Before dying they release lots of eggs that are transported by the ocean currents and survive until they  find whale bones to colonize

all the thymine pairs with adenine, therefore there is the same number of adenine and thymine bases and the same percentage

so we have 28%thymine and 28% adenine

100-28-28=44% left

this 44% is guanine and cytosine. All of the guanine pairs with cytosine and all of the cytosine pairs with guanine so we have 44/2=22% cytosine and guanine

composition:

28%adenine

28%thymine

22%guanine

22%cytosine

What happens to an enzyme’s structure as it exceeds the typical human body temperature?
notsponge [240]
Hello.

When an enzyme exceeds the typical human body temperature, the enzyme's structure can denature and change - therefore the enzyme won't function properly.

Exposed to a high temperature, the enzyme will denature. This is an irreversible process in which the enzyme loses its shape and function.
