Which piece of evidence from Source C best characterizes the response of 1 point
USPshnik [31]

The IEF President made a speech during the tenth anniversary to commemorate the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster that happened in the United States. The piece of evidence that best characterizes the response of the United States, a democratic government, to the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster is;

  • "...we were horrified when the response to the Katrina catastrophe  revealed..confusion, delay, misdirection, inactivity, poor coordination, and lack of  leadership at all levels of government."

The description here shows the confusion and delay that characterized the response of the United States government to the disaster.

This might be pointing to the fact that they were not prepared for a disaster of that magnitude.

Therefore, option C is the right answer.

What did most Sumerian framers grow, raise and make
Maslowich

Answer:

When people first moved into the region between the Tigris and Euphrates, they found living pretty easy. There was wildlife to catch, fish in the rivers, and edible vegetation growing wild. So they stayed.

Soon they found that they could grow their own food if they tended the land. Then they figured out how to get river water into the fields, and crops grew in abundance. Other tribes saw the wealth and food the people of the river valleys had, and started raiding to take it. So to protect themselves, they started building walls around their town. Cities grew from these towns.
