The range of function is { 0, -6, -9}

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that the function is:

f(x) = \frac{-3}{4}x - 6

Also given its domain is (-8, 0, 4)

<em><u>To find: Range of the function</u></em>

Domain of the function is possible input of the function that is "x" and range of the function is possible output of the function that is f(x)

As there are only three input values for "x" that are (-8, 0, 4) we can determine the range by calculating value of f(x) for each of the x

<em><u>For x = 8:</u></em>

f(-8)=\frac{-3}{4} \times(-8)-6=6-6=0

f(-8)=0

<em><u>For x = 0:</u></em>

\begin{array}{l}{f(0)=\frac{-3}{4} \times(0)-6=-6} \\\\ {f(0)=-6}\end{array}

<em><u>For x = 4:</u></em>

\begin{array}{l}{f(4)=\frac{-3}{4} \times(4)-6=-3-6=-9} \\\\ {f(4)=-9}\end{array}

Thus the range of function is { 0, -6, -9}

The value of x - y is
Trava [24]

Answer:

Yes, in a Cartesian Coordinate system each point is given by two numbers. If the question is "where" the function has a max or min value, that's "x", the first number in pair. If the question is "what" is that max or min function value, thats "y", the second number in the pair

Peter participated in a 5 k race and finished the race in 17 min. A 5 k race is 5,000 m long. How would you calculate peters ave
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer: Peters average speed in m/min is 294.1176 m/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Peter participated in a 5000m race and finished the race in 17 min.

Speed is calculated as Distance/Time

Peters average speed in m/min = Distance covered in m / Time taken in minutes

= 5000/17

= 294.1176 m/min

Therefore, Peters average speed in m/min = 294.1176 m/min

Hope it helps.

Thank you :)
