A picture frame is usually a square or rectangle, right? So that means two of the sides had to have a length of 18 centimeters. So, we multiply 18 by 2 and subtract (because we have to add all the sides to get the perimeter) that answer from the perimeter. We come out with 72. Now we have to divide 72 by 2 because there were 2 other sides. 72 divided by 2 comes out to be 36. The picture frame was 36 centimeters wide :) Hope this helps you!

Answer:

36 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The length of a rectangular picture frame is 18 centimeters. The frame has a perimeter of 108 centimeters.

To find: Width of the rectangular picture frame.

Solution:

It is given that length of the frame is 18 centimeters.

The perimeter of the frame is 108 centimeters.

Let the x represent the width of the frame.

We know that perimeter of the rectangle is 2(l+w)

Now,

\text{Perimeter}=2(l+w)

\implies 6x=96

\implies 2(18+x)=108

\implies 18+x=54

\implies x=36

So, width of the frame is 36 centimeters.

3. Given: Circle Q
<A = 35
Find: m AB
Agata [3.3K]

Answer: 110°

Step-by-step explanation:

∠A ≅ ∠B

since ∠A = 35° (given), then ∠B = 35°

Use the Triangle Sum Theorem to find ∠C:

∠A + ∠B + ∠Q = 180°

35° + 35° + ∠Q = 180°

     70° + ∠Q = 180°

                 ∠Q = 110°

The central angle (∠AQB) ≅ arc AB

since ∠AQB = 110° (solved above), then arc AB = 110°

find the width, ans height and area of 26'' TV screen that has an aspect ratio of 4:3. round to the nearest whole number.
Rasek [7]

erform a simple calculation to match the screen size of a standard TV to that of a widescreen TV. If you currently have a 4:3 TV and you want to continue watching 4:3 on a widescreen TV, multiply the diagonal length of the older TV model by 1.22. The result would be the diagonal screen size that the widescreen TV would have to be to match the old model.

Say you have a 40 inch (102 cm) TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio, but you're thinking about upgrading and you don't want your screen size to get smaller. You'd need to get at least a 50 inch (127 cm) screen to view in 4:3 without your picture getting smaller. That's because 1.22 x 40 = 49. Since 49 inch TVs are generally not made, you'd need to go up to 50 inches (127 cm).
