Yes, her question is biased because as she asked, she specifically asks about the color green, not giving the option of the classmate to choose their favorite color.

Sketch the region R defined by 1≤ x≤ 2 and 0≤ y≤ 1/x^3
steposvetlana [31]
On the attachment, there is the graph for the region "R" and the calculations for the value a and b.

the theory is that you have to choose a value that is between the range and assume that this value will divide the area into two equal parts. This is done for x = a

For
"y" you have to change the integral from dx to dy and you have to divide the region into 2 parts, given that the area cannot be calculated by 1 integral equation, so you proceed to calculate the rectangular area and take this area into consideration, for the same procedure as before.

Then you calculate again the value y = b and that's it.

Toys-A-Go makes toys at Plant A and Plant B. Plant A needs to make a minimum of 1000 toy dump trucks and fire engines. Plant B n
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

88 hours on dump truck

24 hours on fire engine

Minimum cost is $3480

Step-by-step explanation:

D > 0; f >0

Plant A : 10d+5f >100

Plant B: 5d +15f >800

Cost:

Bradley and Kelly are out flying kites at a park one afternoon. A model of Bradley and Kelly's kites are shown below on the coor
Alex787 [66]

The correct answer is:

C. They are similar because the corresponding sides of kites KELY and BRAD all have the relationship 2:1.

Using the distance formula,

d=\sqrt{(y_2-y_1)^2+(x_2-x_1)^2}

the lengths of the sides of BRAD are:

\text{BR}=\sqrt{(7-6)^2+(3-4)^2}=\sqrt{1^2+(-1)^2}=\sqrt{1+1}=\sqrt{2}\\\\\text{RA}=\sqrt{(6-3)^2+(4-3)^2}=\sqrt{3^2+1^2}=\sqrt{9+1}=\sqrt{10}\\\\\text{AD}=\sqrt{(3-6)^2+(3-2)^2}=\sqrt{(-3)^2+1^2}=\sqrt{9+1}=\sqrt{10}\\\\\text{DB}=\sqrt{(6-7)^2+(2-3)^2}=\sqrt{(-1)^2+(-1)^2}=\sqrt{1+1}=\sqrt{2}

The lengths of the sides of KELY are:

\text{KE}=\sqrt{(2-0)^2+(11-9)^2}=\sqrt{2^2+2^2}=\sqrt{4+4}=\sqrt{8}=2\sqrt{2}\\\\\text{EL}=\sqrt{(0-2)^2+(9-3)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+6^2}=\sqrt{40}=2\sqrt{10}\\\\\text{LY}=\sqrt{(2-4)^2+(3-9)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(-6)^2}=\sqrt{40}=2\sqrt{10}\\\\\text{YK}=\sqrt{(4-2)^2+(9-11)^2}=\sqrt{2^2+(-2)^2}=\sqrt{8}=2\sqrt{2}

Each side of KELY is twice the length of the corresponding side on BRAD.  This makes the ratio of the sides 2:1 and the figures are similar.

What is the inverse of the function f(x) = 2x + 1?
aliina [53]
First, conceptually understand what an inverse function is, it makes solving it very intuitive.  An inverse function is simply a function which has points (y,x) for every point (x,y) of the parent function.  So you are essentially taking all points of the parent function and switching the x and y coordinates for each.  Those switched coordinates are produced by the "inverse function".

Mathematically then, finding the inverse function is a matter of solving for x and then switching the variable labels.  In this case:

y=2x+1  subtract 1 from both sides

y-1=2x  divide both sides by 2

(y-1)/2=x  now just switch the labels for the variables...

y=(x-1)/2  so

f^-1(x)=(x-1)/2  is the inverse of f(x)=2x+1

A bike rental stand at the beach charges $5 to rent a bike in targit charges to every half hour it is rented if someone pays $17
denis23 [38]

Answer:

They would have the bike for 1.7 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

The bike is rented at a charge of $5 for every half an hour,this can be expressed as:

$5 per 0.5 hours, to calculate the time one will have the bike if they pay $17

The amount of paid=Standard Rate per 1/2 of an hour/Number of hours

where;

The amount paid=$17

Standard Rate per 1/2 an hour=$5/0.5

Number of hours

Replacing;

n=(17×0.5)/5=1.7 hours
