So since it is a right angle it will equal 90. Take out 33 since it is a part of that 90. 90-33= 57 then you will have 2x+1=57 subtract 1 over 2x=56 then divide both sides by 2   x=28

The question asks us to find the value of x in a diagram picturing a right-angle, which is an angle measuring 90\textdegree. So, we are given 2x+1 and 33. To find the value of x, we sum those two expressions and make it equal to 90.
2x+1+33=90
\Rightarrow 2x+34=90
\Rightarrow 2x=56
\Rightarrow 2x=56
x=28
Therefore, the value of x is \boxed{x=28}. Hope this helped and have a phenomenal day!

Graph the line whose y-intercept is -7 and whose x-intercept is 1
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

y=7x -7

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given two points, the y - intercept and the x - intercept.

The y - intercept being: ( 0, -7 )

The x - intercept being: ( 1, 0 )

The equation of a line in slope - intercept form is:

y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y - intercept.

We already have the y - intercept. So far we have:

y = mx - 7

What we're missing is the slope.

To find the slope, we can use this formula:

\frac{y_{2}-y_{1} }{x_{2}-x_{1}}, where x_{2} and x_{1} are the x - coordinates of both points and y_{2} and x_{1} are the y - coordinates of both points.

m=\frac{0-(-7)}{1-0} \\\\m=\frac{7}{1}\\m=7

We now have the missing piece, the slope, so the equation now is:

y=7x -7

Line t passes through points (10, 4) and (7, 9). Line u is parallel to line t. What is the slope of line u?
Margarita [4]

Answer: 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

concept to know: the slope of perpendicular line is always opposite reciprocal

----------------------

Step 1. Find the slope of line t

 (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

=(4-9)/(10-7)

=-5/3

-------------------

Step 2. Apply the concept

Opposite reciprocal of (-5/3)=3/5

Hope this helps!! :)
