Fossils that contain organic material can be dated based on the radiocarbon dating method. Carbon14 is an isotype of carbon. The Amount of carbon14 in the bone or rock should determine how old it is.

"skeletons are good age markers because teeth and bones mature at fairly predictable rates. For toddlers to teenagers up to age 21, teeth are the most accurate age indicators. Some of the best indicators of adult age are in the pelvis."

A diploid (2n) cell divides by meiosis, producing four daughter cells. Next, each daughter cell divides by mitosis, producing a
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

Option C: Each granddaughter cell is haploid (n)

Explanation:

A diploid cell is a cell that contains two full sets of chromosomes. Meiosis is a process whereby the the original diploid cell produces 4 cells. These cells contain half of the genetic information that the diploid cell that underwent division contained. These cells that contain half of the chromosome types are referred to as haploids. These haploids have just one complete set of chromosomes whereas the diploid (as the name suggests) has two full sets. Examples of haploids are the reproductive, or sperm, cells that humans have. So essentially, haploids are the reproductive cells that are produced by meiosis.

Now, meiosis divides the cell by 4 whereas, through mitosis however, each cell splits into two. These two cells that were produced are completely identical to each other which means that they have the same number of chromosomes and are, therefore, haploids themselves as well.

lesantik [10]

Answer:

Analogous or convergent structure.

Explanation:

Analogous structures can be defined as structures that  have similar purposes but look completely different from each other. in other words it means that they serve the same functions in different species, but they are independently evolved. Examples of analogous structures are

Given what you know about the endosymbiotic theory, which region of the chloroplast below would you expect to be derived from th
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

Photosynthetic lamellae

Explanation:

The cyanobacteria were the first successful photosynthetic cells present on the Earth which were able to convert the light energy into the chemical energy.

The endosymbiosis theory suggested that these cyanobacteria were engulfed by the eukaryotes and the cyanobacteria get transformed into the chloroplast.

The region of the chloroplast that was formed in the cyanobacteria before the endosymbiosis happened was the photosynthetic lamellae which contained the chlorophyll molecule and thus is the correct answer.

Thus, Photosynthetic lamellae are the correct answer.
