Just subsitute 6x-11 for y in the second equation
-2x-3(6x-11)=-7
-2x-18x+33=-7
-20x+33=7
subtract 33 from both sides
-20x=-40
multiply -1
20x=40
dividede by 20
x=2

then subsitute
y=6x-11
y=6(2)-11
y=12-11
y=1

x=2
y=1

Is it possible to make a triangle with measure of 3mm 9mm and 5mm
tatyana61 [14]

Answer: No

Step-by-step explanation: if you mean the measure of a is 3, the measure of b is 9 and the measure of c is 5, c being the hypotenuse then the answer is no because the the sides of a and b must be less than the measure of c. If 5 wasn’t the hypotenuse then the answer would be different.

(KEEP IN MIND THAT IF 9 IS THE HYPOTENUSE THEN THE ANSWER IS YES)

Hope this helps! :)

What is the area of the hexagon?
Dominik [7]

Answer:

68 square meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The hexagon is made up of two trapezoids. Use the formula to find the area of each trapezoid then add those two areas together.

Area of a trapezoid (add the two bases together, multiply by the height then divide by 2):

A = \frac{1}{2} (b_{1}+b_{2})h

Top trapezoid:

A = \frac{1}{2} (5 + 12)4\\A = \frac{1}{2} (17)4\\A= \frac{1}{2} (68)\\A = 34

Bottom trapezoid (identical to the top trapezoid):

A = \frac{1}{2} (5 + 12)4\\A = \frac{1}{2} (17)4\\A= \frac{1}{2} (68)\\A = 34

Add the areas together:

34 + 34 = 68
