ANSWER: 4/15

To find the simple form of both fraction, the denominator (or bottom number) must be the same. So the first step is to look for the same denominator number. To do that, you must find the GCF (greatest common factor) which is 15. This how I get 15....
          5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45
          3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18....42, 45
    So basically, you need to see which number do they have the same. If the question have the same denominator, then you just need to subtract but since our GCF is 15 (it can be 45 too but if you put 45, there would be a lot of works)....

So then that we found the GCF which is 15... the equation will be now...

3/5 x 3/3 = 9/15
(3 is suppose to be multipied by both #/# because we need to get 15 on the denominator. The same thing applied to the equation 1/3 but instead, it is multiplied by 5 because 5 x 3 is 15)
1/3 x 5/5 = 5/15

= 9/15 - 5/15        (You shound NEVER EVER SUBTRACT THE DEMONINATOR)
so you subtract 9-5

Final answer is 4/15

3/5-1/3...to get the simple form of these unlike fractions ..u need to make them into like fractions by taking their LCM and making their denominators same ..and then subtract them ....if possible then reduce them ....3/5 - 1/3
LCM of 3 and 5 =15 ..
=> 3/5 X3 =9/15
=>1/3 X 5= 5/15
9/15-5/15 =4/15 ....
since 4 and 15 dont share any common factor other than 1 , the simplest form of 4/15 remains as it is ..

Hope it helps !!!

The answer the 3,

First you have to apply the exponent rule which is 1 - 3• 1/g

Then you multiply the fractions - 1•3/g

Then multiply the numbers 1 and 3, which is 3, so there you have it 3/g, or 3, they’re the same thing.

Find the value of x that makes m||n. (7x - 23) (11x + 23)
umka2103 [35]

(7x - 23)° + (11x + 23)° = 180°

7x - 23° + 11x + 23° = 180°

18x = 180° / : 18

x = 10°
