Original price $50.40

40% off means $14.40 off the original price!

The math is simple:
If the discounted price is $36 after a 40% discount that means that 36 + 40/100 * 100 = 36 + 14.4 = $50.40

Let the original price of headphone = x

there is 40% discount which is 0.40x

so the payment price will be x-0.40x = 0.60x

Given that paid amount is $36

so both will be equal

0.60x = 36

x=36/0.60

x=60

Hence final answer is $60.

sin(60) = 46/side
side = 46/sin(60)
side = 46/0.866 = 53.12. I hope this helps!
