What are three disadvantages of making and using plastic?
AURORKA [14]
Plastic has many disadvantages, including environmental, choking and chemical hazards. Not only is plastic non-biodegradable, meaning it will not break down in landfills even after hundreds of years, it can also clog waterways and contaminate wildlife habitats. Plastic poses a danger to animals if they ingest it or become entangled. <span>Additionally, chemicals are used to both produce and recycle plastic, a practice that poses environmental hazards as well. Recently under public scrutiny, a chemical called BPA is believed to cause hormonal problems in both males and females, especially those who are prepubescent.
