For the same generic reason that table salt doesn't taste or behave
like the corrosive sodium or the poisonous chlorine that it's made of.

The physical and chemical properties of compounds in general are
very different from the characteristics of any of their constituent
elements in the pure elemental state.

-- Water doesn't act anything like Hydrogen or Oxygen.

-- A candle doesn't act anything like Carbon or Hydrogen.

-- Dry ice doesn't act anything like Carbon or Oxygen.

-- DNA doesn't act anything like Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen,
   Carbon or Phosphorus.  (We are lucky.)

This assumption is correct. The emissivity of a substance is the ratio of the energy radiated from a body to the energy radiated from a black body (perfect emitter). Because these stars reflect negligible radiation compared to the amount they emit.

By Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation.

F =  GMm/r²

Where F is Force of Gravitation, M = Mass of first object, m = mass of second object, r = distance of separation

From the formula, you can see that if the masses, M and m, increased, the value of F would definitely increase as well.

And if r increased the value of F would be reduced because you would be dividing by a bigger number, but when the value of r is decreased the value of F would be increased, because you would then be dividing by something smaller. Note the r is at the denominator of the formula.

So F would increase if there was increase in Masses and decrease in distance.

So the answer is C. a and b.
