You can work this in one step by knowing that you are paying the full price for the hot dog (100%) + 7% for tax

Multiply the price of the hot dog by 1.07 which represents the hot dog price with tax.
.99(1.07) = $1.06

How do you use the triangle sum theorem to find the measure of each angle in degrees ?!
TEA [102]

Answer:

The Triangle Sum Theorem is also called the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem or Angle Sum Theorem. It says that all the angles inside a triangle add up to 180°.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take a look at the picture attached. It has a "formula": ∠a+∠b+∠c=180°

Use this as it will help you a lot. You plug in the info you already know (it doesn't matter which angle is a,b,c) and solve for the missing one. :)

Ask in the comments below if you are not sure about something.

I hope that helps you! :D

Hi there!

Since the triangle is equilateral, all of its sides are congruent. This means that to solve, we can set the two given equations equal to each other.

2(x - 8) = 1/2x + 8
2x - 16 = 1/2x + 8
1.5x - 16 = 8
1.5x = 24
x = 16

Now that we know what x is, we can plug that in for x in the equation for ZY.

2(16 - 8) = ZY
ZY = 2(8)
ZY = 16 units

And here is the work to show that XZ is also 16.

1/2(16) + 8 = XZ
XZ = 8 + 8
XZ = 16

Hope this helps!! :)

A school band gives a year-end concert. It is held in a 400-seat auditorium. Each concert ticket sells for $10, and 85% of the t
bazaltina [42]

Answer: $3,400

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 400 seats in the auditorium which means that there are 400 tickets to be sold.

85% of these tickets are sold. The number of tickets sold is:

= 85% * 400

= 340 tickets were sold.

Each ticket sells for a total of $10.

The amount of money made from ticket sales is therefore:

= No. of tickets sold * price of ticket

= 340 * 10

= $3,400
