Epilepsy is a neurological disorder marked by sudden recurrent episodes of sensory disturbance, loss of consciousness, or convulsions, associated with abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Stress can cause<span> problems sleeping which is also a </span>seizure<span> trigger. Chronic </span>stress can<span> lead to anxiety or depression. Sleep problems are </span>symptoms<span> of these mood problems. Being anxious and depressed </span>can<span> also worsen </span>stress<span>, </span>causing<span> a vicious cycle with more </span>seizures and mood problems.  Othello has a seizure<span> on stage, preceded by extreme emotional agitation, thus raising the issue of whether emotions </span>can<span> trigger </span>seizures<span>.</span>
