2 * 8 16
3 * 8 24

5 * 3 15
8 * 3 24


Because 16 over 24 is greater than 15 over 24
2/3 is greater than 5/8

Yes. 24 is a LCD of 3 and 8. So if you multiply 2/3 by 8 you'd get 16/24. If you multiply 5/8 by 3 you get 15/24. Therefore 2/3 > 5/8
