The Final Solution during WWII (1940 to 1945) had devastating effects on the population of Eastern Europe, especially Jews who where living in large communities in this area. The Nazis wanted to accelerate the process to clean the territories they had conquered in Europe. The Final Solution was created as a means to accomplish this purpose.

During the Holocaust as it was also known, more than 6 millions Jews were exterminated in concentration camps run by the Nazis. Those who survived this horrific event wanted to migrate, principally to Israel and the United States after the war.

In 1933, there were approximately 9.5 million Jews living in Easter Europe, and by 1950 only 3.5 million remained. Poland which had the largest population of Jews at that time was completely devastated.  The mast migration of Jews and other ethnic groups was the main effect caused  by The Final Solution.
