Answer:

r (1) = 2; r (n - 1) + 3, for n >_2

and

r (n) = 3n -1

Step-by-step explanation:

yall aint even give us the functions  smh but its only two because r(1) is obv 2 and thats not expressed by any other answers. if u just plug it into the other functions (the ones without the first term) only one of the three work

Well we don't have the choices, maybe they're coming.

We want r(1)=2, r(2)=5, r(3)=8, ...

We can write that

r(n)=2 + 3(n-1)

That's equivalent to

r(n)=3n-1

Hopefully those are the two expressions among the choices.  There are many equivalent expressions but these are the most likely.

Emily and her children went into a grocery store and she bought $20.80 worth of bananas and peaches. Each banana costs $0.80 and
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

The number of bananas that Emily bought was 6 and the number of peaches that Emily bought was 8

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The complete question is</em></u>

Emily and her children went into a grocery store and she bought $20.80 worth of bananas and peaches. Each banana costs $0.80 and each peach costs $2. She bought  a total of 14 peaches and bananas altogether. Determine the number of peaches and the  number of bananas that Emily bought

Let

x ----> the number of bananas that Emily bought

y ----> the number of peaches that Emily bought

we know that

She bought  a total of 14 bananas and peaches altogether

so

x+y=14 -----> equation A

She bought $20.80 worth of bananas and peaches

so

0.80x+2y=20.80 -----> equation B

Solve the system by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

using a graphing tool

The solution is the point (6,8)

see the attached figure

therefore

The number of bananas that Emily bought was 6 and the number of peaches that Emily bought was 8

What is the multiplicative rate of change of the function shown on the graph? Express your answer in decimal form. Round to the
allsm [11]
In linear models there is a constant additve rate of change. For example, in the equation y = mx + b, m is the constanta additivie rate of change.

In exponential models there is a constant multiplicative rate of change.

The function of the graph seems of the exponential type, so we can expect a constant multiplicative exponential rate.

We can test that using several pair of points.

The multiplicative rate of change is calcualted in this way:

 [f(a) / f(b) ] / (a - b)

Use the points given in the graph: (2, 12.5) , (1, 5) , (0, 2) , (-1, 0.8)

[12.5 / 5] / (2 - 1) = 2.5

[5 / 2] / (1 - 0) = 2.5

[2 / 0.8] / (0 - (-1) ) = 2.5

Then, do doubt, the answer is 2.5
