Answer:  Atomic weight increases from top to bottom and the number of shells increases from top to bottom

Explanation:  As we go down the group that is vertical column, atomic weight increases as atomic number is increasing.

Moreover the number of electrons in the outershell does not increases but the number of shells increases from top to bottom as atomic number are increasing and electrons are increasing thus more number of shells are needed to fill these electrons.

Physical Properties doesnot remain identical as they do changes on going down the groiup.

What are the spectator ions in the equation below? Select all that apply.
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

H+ and NO3- ions

Explanation:

The Pb²+ ions react with the SO4²‐ ions to form a solid precipitate, i.e. they bond together and undergo a phase change;

On the contrary, the H+ and NO3- ions are aqueous ions before the reaction and the same after the reaction, i.e. they don't change;

Hence, the H+ and NO3- ions are spectator ions

The way to do this type of question is to consider what changes and what doesn't, look at phase changes and oxidation state changes

How does elements and compounds reacting together is essential in everyday matters?
MrMuchimi

Chemical reactions are at the essence of just about every biological and physical process in the whole universe. Stars form due to chemical reactions, our sun flamed up also because of chemical reactions in its core. Life basically evolved on Earth as an outcome of chemical reactions. The "circle of life" is, at its quintessence, a sequence of chemical reactions. Also our capacity to move and think  is an outcome of chemical reactions that happen inside our bodies. Chemical reactions are the reason why new forms of matter are created. Chemical reactions make us comprehend the properties of matter. Chemical reactions make food into fuel for our bodies, they make fireworks blow up, they change food when it is cooked, they make soap remove dirt, and a lot more. Chemical reactions contribute to solving crimes and unravel mysteries. We can even find out which planets and moons are most likely to be able to preserve life. The most significant and momentous discovery made by humans, fire, is just a chemical reaction. Nothing would ever change without chemical reactions
