Margin of error formula:
ME = z * (Sigma) / √ n
z = 1.96 for a 95 % confidence interval;
Sigma = 3 ( the population standard deviation )
n = 500
ME = 1.96 * 3 / √500 =
= 1.96 * 3 / 22.36 =
= 5.88 / 22.36 = 0.263
Answer:
The margin error for a 95% confidence interval is 0.263.

If f(x) = 8 – 10x and g(x) = 5x + 4, what is the value of (fg)(–2)?
Vedmedyk [2.9K]
F(x) = 8 - 10x

g(x) = 5x + 4

Finding (fg)(-2).

First let us find fg(x), this is the same as f(g(x))

f(g(x))

f(5x + 4)

Recall, f(x) = 8 - 10x, therefore f(5x + 4) would be such that anywhere we see x in the f(x), we replace it with 5x + 4

f(x) = 8 - 10x

f(5x +4) =  8 - 10(5x + 4)

             =  8 - 50x - 40

             = -50x + 8 - 40

             =  -50x - 32

f(g(x)) = fg(x) = -50x - 32

fg(-2) = -50*(-2) - 32 = 100 - 32 = 68

Therefore fg(-2) = 68

I hope this helped.

If i= V-1, then which expression is equal to 9i(13i)?
F -117
H 117
G 117i
I -117i
DaniilM [7]

If i= V-1, then -117 expression is equal to 9i(13i)

Step-by-step explanation:

Original problem : 9i(13i)

=> 117i^{2} (Multiply)

=> 117 * -1

=> i^{2} = -1

=> -117

If i= V-1, then -117 expression is equal to 9i(13i)
