Answer-

The total amount you would have earned over the first 16 years is $90047.20

Solution-

The exponential function that would given the growth is,

P'=P(1+r)^t

Where,

P' = Future value,

P = Current value = $50000

r = rate of change = 4% = 0.04

t = time = 15 year (not 16 because the the increment occurs at year end and we want to get the value at the beginning of 16th year)

Putting the values,

P'=50000(1+0.04)^{15}

=50000(1.04)^{15}

=90047.20

Therefore, the total amount you would have earned over the first 16 years is $90047.20

n = 16

50000(1 + 1.04 + 1.04^2 + 1.04^3 + .... + 1.04^15) = 50000 * (1.04^16 - 1) / (1.04 - 1) = 1,091,226.56

Final year's salary = 90047.17

86,583.82 * 1.04 = 90047.17

There are only 15 table when there should be 16.

a_N = 50000(1.04)^15 = 90047.17

And if we add 90047.17 to the previous total of 1001179.38 we get

$1,091,226.55

What is the range of possible values for x? I know the greater than values, but how do you find the less than values?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

D. 10 < x < 43

Step-by-step explanation:

4x+8 must be greater than 48, but less than 180.

48 < 4x + 8 < 180

40 < 4x < 172

10 < x < 43

The first term of an arithmetic sequence is -3 and the fifteenth term is 53 what is the common difference of the sequence
saul85 [17]

Solution

The 1st term = -3

15th term = 53

15th term = a + d(n-1)

53 = -3 + d(15- 1)                       [Here n = 15)

53 + 3 = d(14)

14d = 56

d = 4

The common difference is 4.

Is this done correctly or incorrectly??
PLEASE LET ME KNOW

PLZ HELP ASAP
Dimas [21]
You're very close. However, the less steep line should go through (4,7) and not some point slightly above that location. Also, the shaded region should be above both dashed lines at the same time. So you won't include the portion that I've marked in blue (see attached). Other than that, it looks great.
