2(x-2)=6 Multiply OUT brackets; 2 times X, 2 times -2 2x-4=6 The -4 goes to the other side, therefore becoming +4 2x=6+4 2x=10 The 2 is in its times form, by bringing it to the other side, it becomes a divide. x=10 divided by 2 x=5 to check, substitute 5 into the equation: 2(5-2)=6 2(3)=6 2*3=6

Can someone help me with this?
algol13

Answer: x=12

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that sum of a triangle is 180 degrees

one angle is 90 degree

the sum will be 90+(2x+1)+(5x+5)=180

substract 90 from both sides

2x+1+5x+5=180-90

7x+6=90

7x=90-6

divide by 7

x=12

Is the sqrt of 1 - sin^2 theta = cos theta true? If so, in which quadrants does angle theta terminate?
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

Answer: The answer is option B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

We have,

{ \sin }^{2}  theta \: +  {cos}^{2}theta  = 1

{cos}^{2} \: theta  = 1 -  {sin}^{2}  \: theta

cos \: theta =  \sqrt{1 -  { \sin }^{2}theta }

So, it's true; and it lies in quadrant 1 and 4.

The reason according to the "CAST" rule cos theta is in 1st and 3rd quadrant cos theta is positive.

Given that angleAXB is complementary to both angleCYD and angleFZE, and mangleAXB = 20°, what is mangleCYD + mangleFZE?
AlladinOne [14]
If angle AXB is complementary with  angle CYD and FZE
 then their sum leads to 90°
∠AXB+∠CYD=90
∠AXB+∠FZE=90

if ∠AXB=20 then both∠ CYD and∠FZE=70°
