Answer

• Harmful components in nicotine such as cyanide can be transferred to the baby via breast milk

• Nicotine can be absorbed by the intestine of the baby to result into apnea and vomiting

• Interference with normal lung development of the baby

Explanation

Nicotine is a harmful chemical found naturally in tobacco plants and could be readily absorbed into the milk of a breastfeeding mother from her blood. Nicotine in a baby’s milk can further result into raised heart rate of the baby, disturbed sleep due to the stimulant effect of nicotine, and vomiting /nausea especially if the mother is a regular smoker.

Cause fussy behaviour, breast refusal, excessive crying, and increased colic in mothers who smoke more than five cigarettes per day. Lead to vomiting and nausea if a mother is smoking 20 cigarettes or more daily. Increase baby heart rate. It’s just not a good idea to breastfeed your baby if you smoke.

Why is the myth the athletes need additional protein is not true
amid [387]
The body already produces enough protein to get by just fine. However, many people think athletes "use up" too much protein and faster than they gain it back, but that is not true because the body regulates homeostasis. I hope I helped :)

Nonparametric procedures are usually not our first choice among statistical procedures because
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer: This is because they are less powerful than parametric procedures.

Explanation:

Non-parametric procedures are not as powerful as parametric procedures. Non-parametric procedures do not depend on assumptions about the shape or form of the probability distribution from which the data is extracted. A parametric test has more statistical power than non-parametric test. Some conditions of validity are required for the result of a parametric test to be reliable
