You said you know how to find the reference angle, so I won't go though that. For 26, the reference angle is \frac{\pi}{6}. So we need to evaluate:
\tan(\frac{\pi}{6})

Remember:
\tan=\frac{\sin}{\cos}

Then our fraction is \frac{\frac{1}{2}}{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}=\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{3}. The last thing to remember is the sign of the fraction. An easy way to do this is to remember "All Students Take Calculus" which corresponds to which trig function is positive in which quadrant. Q1 is All positive, Q2 is cos positive, Q3 is tan positive, Q4 is sin positive. Since tan is negative in Q2 and that's where our angle is, our final answer is \frac{-\sqrt{3}}{3}. The other two questions are similar conceptually.

What is the value of the expression 2 + 3^2 * (5 -1)
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

38

Step-by-step explanation:

We are to solve for the expression;

2 + 3² × (5 - 1)

We should aply BODMAS here!

So starting with the brackets;

2 + 3² × 4

Then solving the multiplication part;

3² × 4 = 9 × 4 = 36

Finally adding the integers;

2 + 36 = 38

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST<br>What is the value of a in the problem 4a-3=D<br>explain answer
mixas84 [53]
In this case, you aren't going to get an integer for the value of a, but you can rearrange the equation to equal a.

4a-3=D       add 3 to both sides
4a=D+3      divide both sides by 4
a=(D+3)/4   here's your answer

Write the standard equation for the circle center (-6,8) that passes through (0,0)
Reil [10]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle in standard form is

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k) are the coordinates of the centre and r is the radius

here (h, k) = (- 6, - 8), thus

(x + 6)² + (y + 8)² = r²

The radius is the distance from the centre to a point on the circle

Calculate r using the distance formula

r = √ (x₂ - x₁ )² + (y₂ - y₁ )²

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 6, - 8) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (0, 0)

r = \sqrt{(0+6)^2+(0+8)^2} = \sqrt{36+64} = \sqrt{100} = 10

Hence

(x + 6)² + (y + 8)² = 100 → D
