1) D is your answer.

Isolate the y:

2x = 3y - 5

first add 5 from both sides

2x (+5) = 3y - 5 (+5)

Next, divide 3 from both sides to isolate the y

(2x + 5)/3 = (3y)/3

y = (2x + 5)/3

2) None of the above is your answer

Plug in points for each equation. None of them work for more than 1 or 2 points. (they are not true for all points) ∴ None of the above is your answer

hope this helps

First find the area of the triangle.

\sf A=\dfrac{1}{2}bh

\sf A=\dfrac{1}{2}(6)(12)

\sf A=36cm^2

ABCE is a parallelogram, this means that the area of triangle ABE is equal to the area of triangle EBC. The are of the entire trapezoid is 180 square centimeters, we already found the area of the triangle, so that leaves us with:

\sf 180-36=144

So the area of the entire parallelogram must be 144 square centimeters. So each half of the parallelogram must be equal to:

\sf 144\div 2=\boxed{\sf 72cm^2}

A man took a trip, traveling by train. He looked out the window during the first 1/3 of the trip. He then slept for 1/5 of the r
kifflom [539]

Answer: 528 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total distance traveled by train.

Then, the total time he spent on looking outside the window and in sleeping = \frac{x}{3}+\frac{x}{5}=\frac{8x}{15}

Then the remaining distance =x-\frac{8x}{15}=\frac{7x}{15}

The time he spent on reading = \frac{1}{2}\times(\frac{7x}{15})=\frac{7x}{30}

Since, the train traveled 17.6 km more while he read than while he slept.

Then,

\frac{7x}{30}-\frac{x}{5}=17.6\\\Rightarrow\ \frac{7x-6x}{30}=17.6\\\Rightarrow\ \frac{x}{30}=17.6\\\Rightarrow\ x=30\times17.6\\\Rightarrow\ x=528

Hence, the train traveled 528 km.

-3(x+8)-12=62-24 solve
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

First we chose one side to solve.

I am doing the one on the left first.

so -3x+-24-12

-3x-12

Now we do the other side

62-24 is

38 therefore

-3x-12=38

Answer:

Hey dude!

The answer is

area of triangle AED= \frac{1}{2} AE x DE

How I got this answer:-

Area of a triangle is \frac{1}{2} base x altitude.

Here, the base of the triangle is DE

And its altitude is AE

Hence, the area would be:-

I will give brainliest for the correct answer!
madreJ [45]

Answer:

D) 1/25

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for slope is

m = (the change in y)/(the change in x)

Y is always the vertical change, x is always the horizontal change.

For this problem, the road rises 4 feet (y) for every 100 feet of length (x), so the slope is..

m = 4/100

    m = 1/25
