HOME › ASSIGNMENTS ► ASSIGNMENT -
Asexual versus Sexual Reproduction 3
nexus9112 [7]

The fusion of two parents' genetic material is understood as sexual reproduction while asexual reproduction yields genetically similar offspring to the same parent.

Asexual Reproduction:

This way all the prokaryotes and other eukaryotes produce offspring. There are a variety of different asexual reproductive practices. These comprises of binary, fragmentation, and budding fission.

 • The binary fission appears when a parent cell wants to split into 2 separate daughter cells of the same diameter. For an instance, protozoa reproduces in the same way.
 • Fragmentation happens when a parent entity divides into small parts or fragments, and each segment grows into a recent organism. Starfish, that way replicate.
 • Budding happens when a parent cell develops a bud close to a bubble. When growing and developing, the bud remains connected to the parent cell. This get detached from the parent cell when the bud is completely grown, and becomes a new entity. It is common in hydra and yeast.

Sexual Reproduction:

 • A reproductive process which comprises haploid female gamete fusion, i.e. egg cell and haploid male gamete i.e. sperm cell.
 • That implies they only include half the number of chromosomes contained in other species cells. A form of cell division named meiosis creates gametes.
 • These gametes are fused at fertilization which results in the production of a diploid zygote having the chromosome double of gametes.

Dose DNA have cells

i need to know for a assingment
kiruha [24]

Answer and Explanation:

Cells are made of DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid).

They provide the genetic instructions for making and forming a cell.

The DNA is found inside the nucleus of the cell.

Because the cell is very small, and because organisms have many DNA molecules per cell, each DNA molecule must be tightly packaged. This packaged form of the DNA is called a chromosome

DNA do NOT have cells, but cells DO have DNA.

In messenger RNA, each codon calls for a
olganol [36]

Answer: c) amino acid

Explanation: A codon is an mRNA sequence which contains three nucleotides that codes for a particular amino acid. The codons on the mRNA are read by the ribosome during translation and the amino acid coded for by each codon is used to make a protein. There are 64 different codons in existence, each amino acid is coded for by at least one codon. Some amino acids have more than one codon. For example, the amino acid Leucine is coded for by six codons: UUA, UUG, CUU, CUC, CUA and CUG while the amino acid phenylalanine is coded for by two codons: UUU and UUC.

The exquisite complexity of traits such as the vertebrate eye seems to pose a problem for evolution by natural selection. How do
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

The correct answer would be - complex eyes evolved in the gradual steps, each of which was fully functional and adaptive in improving visual acuity.

Explanation:

The natural selection of the complex traits such as the vertebrate eye (complex eye) are seems to be problematic, many biologist think that the complex eyes evolution is take place in gradual steps and each step of this evolution was adaptive and functional in improving the visual acuity.

The steps that were involved are like light sensitivity patch, a deepening hole or pit that help in sharp vision and many other random evolution steps.

Thus, the correct answer is- complex eyes evolved in the gradual steps, each step of this evolution was fully functional and adaptive that helps in improving visual acuity.
