Suppose you did not have any indicator available, how else would you be able to identify the end point of the titration?

Indicator is used to detect the end point of a titration by visual change of color. Indicators can be acid base indicator, precipitation titration indicator and redox indicators.

An acid base indicator shows different colors in acidic and basic media. So, in the absence of an acid base indicator the equivalence point can be determined by monitoring the changes in pH as the acid-base titration proceeds.

A precipitation indicator forms colored precipitate at the end point. In the absence of such indicators, the point where the formation of the precipitate just starts to take place is taken as the end point.

In a redox titration, the indicator used shows different colors in acidic and basic media. In the absence of redox indicator, usually one of the solution being titrated acts as a self indicator, like permanganate solution. So, there will not be any need to add an external indicator in such cases.

A steel block has a volume of 0.08 m³ and a density of 7,840 kg/m³. What is the force of gravity acting on the block (the weight
Rama09 [41]
Correct Answer: Option a. 6150.64 N

Weight (w) is defined as:

w = mg

So, first we need to find the mass (m) of the steel block using its volume and density.

Mass = Density x Volume
So,
m = 0.08 x 7840 = 627.2 g

Using value of m and g = 9.807, we get

w = 627.2 x 9.807 = 6150.95 Newtons

Therefore, option a is the correct answer.
The slight difference is because the value of g is rounded of to 3 decimal cases.

The density of no2 in a 4.50 l tank at 760.0 torr and 25.0 °c is ________ g/l.
kap26 [50]
From  ideal  gas  equation   that   is   PV=nRT
n(number of  moles)=PV/RT
P=760 torr
V=4.50L
R(gas  constant =62.363667torr/l/mol
T=273 +273=298k
n  is   therefore   (760torr x4.50L) /62.36367 torr/L/mol  x298k  =0.184moles
the  molar  mass  of  NO2 is  46  therefore  density=  0.184  x  46=8.464g/l

Solar power would be most successful as an energy source in
dangina [55]

Answer:

The correct answer is: a. Southern California and Australia.

Explanation:

The solar power, in order to be more efficient and more productive, needs to be produced in places that have a lot of sunny days throughout the year. So the wisest and most practical thing to do is to install solar panels at places that are warm and sunny for most of the year. The southern part of California and most of Australia would be excellent choices for something like this. Both places have predominantly warm weather throughout the year, and more important, they have  a lot of sunny days throughout the year. That provides the perfect conditions for harvesting the solar energy and use it as an energy source.
