Solution:

we are given that

The difference of two numbers is equal to 0.6.

Let the numbers be x and y so we can write

x-y=0.6......(i)

Their quotient is also 0.6.

so we can write

\frac{x}{y} =0.6.....(ii)

Now solve these two equations together we get

0.6y-y=0.6......(i)

-0.4y=0.6

y=-3/2=-1.5

x =0.6+y

x =0.6-1.5=-0.9

Hence the numbers are -1.5 and -0.9

Midpoints of segment with endpoints. (-4,2) and (2,4)
sashaice [31]

Well! See ,If the endpoints are (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) then mid-point is given by (x1+x2)/2,

(y1+y2)/2

Here in this question endpoints given for the line segment are (-4,2) , (2,4) so we have to find mid-point for x and y co-ordinates by applying above rule.

So, the mid-point we get is (-4+2)/2 , (2+4)/2.

i.e. (-1,3) which lies in 2nd Co-ordinate!

Hope it helps!!

In a bag there are 3 red marbles, 2 yellow marbles, and 1 blue marble. what is the probability in simplest form of a yellow marb
dangina [55]

Answer:

The probability is 1/3, or in percent form, 33.3%.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, add up all the marbles. 3 plus 2 plus 1 equals 6 total marbles.

There are 2 yellow marbles out of 6 total marbles. Make it a fraction: 2/6.

Simplify the fraction by dividing by 2, to get 1/3, which is 33.3%.

PROBLEM SOLVING A game of bowling has ten frames. After five frames, your friend’s bowling score is 65 and your bowling score $x
Elodia [21]

Considering the situation described, we have that:

a. x = 65 - 8 = 57.

b. You won the game, as you scored 137 and your friend 130.

What is the equation for the situation after five frames?

Your friend's score is of 65, and your score of x is 8 less than your friend, hence the equation is:

x = 65 - 8 = 57.

What are the final scores?

Your friend score doubled, hence his/her final score is:

2 x 65 = 130.

Your score increased by 80, hence your final score is:

57 + 80 = 137.

You won the game, as you scored 137 and your friend 130.
