Solution:

we are given that

The difference of two numbers is equal to 0.6.

Let the numbers  be x and y so we can write

x-y=0.6......(i)

Their quotient is also 0.6.

so we can write

\frac{x}{y} =0.6.....(ii)

Now solve these two equations together we get

0.6y-y=0.6......(i)

-0.4y=0.6

y=-3/2=-1.5

x =0.6+y

x =0.6-1.5=-0.9

Hence the numbers are -1.5 and -0.9

24) All percents are numbers with the decimal moved 2 to the right. So if you have 275%, move the decimal to the left twice to get a factor of 2.75. that means that the puppy is 2.75 times heavier at 4 months than it was at 2 months. Since you need the answer as a mixed fraction, your answer is;
2.75=2+\frac{3}{4}=2~\frac{3}{4}

28) If 6 of 75 trees are 30+ feet tall and you need to know how many are under, subtract 6 from 75 to get (75 - 6) = 69 trees under 30ft tall.
You're looking for the percent of trees under 30ft tall, so divide the number of trees <30ft by the total number of trees to get;
\frac{69}{75}= .92
Move the decimal 2 to the right to get 92%.
Your answer is that 92% of trees is under 30ft.

Suppose a random sample of n measurements is selected from a binomial population with probability of success p = .39. Given n =
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

The answer is below

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Given that the number of sample (n) = 300, therefore since n > 30, the distribution of the sample means is going to be normally distributed.

b) The mean of the distribution of sample means (also known as the Expected value of M) is equal to the population mean μ.

\mu_x=\mu=np=300*0.39=117

c) The standard deviation of the distribution of sample means is called the Standard Error of M, it is given by:

\sigma_x=\sqrt{np(1-p)} =\sqrt{300*0.39(1-0.39)} =8.44
