Only one because a triangle has all together 180 degrees therefore even one is 91 degrees the other one would have to be less than 91 making it acute

a traveler has 7 pieces of luggage . how many ways can the traveler select 3 pieces of luggage for a trip
7nadin3 [17]
Well, you could assign a letter to each piece of luggage like so...

A, B, C, D, E, F, G

What you could then do is set it against a table (a configuration table to be precise) with the same letters, and repeat the process again. If the order of these pieces of luggage also has to be taken into account, you'll end up with more configurations.

My answer and workings are below...

35 arrangements without order taken into consideration, because there are 35 ways in which to select 3 objects from the 7 objects.

210 arrangements (35 x 6) when order is taken into consideration.

*There are 6 ways to configure 3 letters.

Alternative way to solve the problem...

Produce Pascal's triangle. If you want to know how many ways in which you can choose 3 objects from 7, select (7 3) in Pascal's triangle which is equal to 35. Now, there are 6 ways in which to configure 3 objects if you are concerned about order.

A trimming operation at a local manufacturer produces rods whose length conforms to unifrom distribution with a minimum of 18cm
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

The probability that randomly selected road will be at least 25.8 cm long will be 48%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: uniform distribution with min and max values of 18 and 33 respectively.

To find : probability density for upper cumulative frequency i.e 25.8 at least means x\geq25.8  upto 33 cm i.e the maximum limit of function.

Solution:

we have by definition , of uniform distribution

we get , probability density function defines as :

<em>F(x,a,b)= </em>\frac{1}{b-a}<em>   </em>a\leq x\leq b

            =1/(33-18)=1/15=0.0667.

this is probability density function.

here the x=25.8 , a=18 and b=33

for lower cumulative frequency it defines as ;

P(x,a,b)=\frac{x-a}{b-a} =25.8-18/33-18=0.52

for upper cumulative frequency it defines as ;

Q(x,a,b)=b-x/b-a=33-25.8/33-18=0.48

here at least 25.8 cm probability means it should be greater than a value(18cm) hence it is provided by the upper cumulative frequency

i.e. Q(x,a,b)=0.48

The probability that randomly selected road will be at least 25.8 cm long will be 48%.

At a candy store you can pay $16.10 for 7 giant lollipop what would be the cost for 6 lollipops?
Alex Ar [27]

Answer: $13.80 for 6 giant lollipops

Step-by-step explanation: To find the cost of 6 giant lollipops at the candy store, we first need to find the unit price for a giant lollipop.

Unit price means the cost per unit,

in this case, the cost per giant lollipop.

Since we know that it costs $16.10 for 7 giant lollipops, to find the cost

for 1 giant lollipop, we need to 16.10 by 7.

16.10 divided by 7 is 2.3.

This means that each lollipop is $2.30.

Now to find the cost for 6, we multiply

the cost per 1 lollipop by 6.

So we have 2.30 × 6 which is $13.80.

So the cost for 6 lollipops at the candy store is $13.80.
