So because you will have $2 no matter how many cups you sell the equation starts off as AA = 2 

Next, you add the dependent variable, because 1 cup of cc = $0.50 you add 0.5cc to the equation (it can also be written as 1/2cc), to complete the equation.
AA = 1/2cc +2
