How would finding the least common multiple help you when dividing items into equal groups

You need to say what kind of "items" you're talking about
and what you mean by "equal" groups.
If I want to divide 76 tennis balls into 4 equal groups,
there is nothing about "least common multiple" that will help me.
I just put 19 balls in each group.To simplify a fraction, find the highest number that divides into both the numerator, or the top number, and the denominator, or the bottom number. Then, divide that number into both parts of the fraction to simplify.

Well if you are dividing, it would be easier, because you don't need to do the long division. you can just find the least common multiples between the two numbers, and divide those. :) Hope I helped some.

Distance formula for (3,-2) and (5,-3)
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

d = 2.2

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the distance formula, you would plug in the numbers into the equation. d = √(5 - 3)^2 + ( -3 + 2)^2. So (5 - 3) is 2, and (-3 + 2) is -1. Then square both of the answers, and the equation becomes, d = √4 + 1. And that equals 5, so then you would find the square root, which would be approximately 2.2
