A rectangular parking lot has a length 20 H more

Let the width = X

The length would be X + 20

Area = Length x width:

2400 = x * (x+20)

Simplify:

2400 = x^2 + 20x

Subtract 2400 from both sides:

x^2 + 20x - 2400 = 0

Factor:

(x-40) (x+60) = 0

Solve for both x's:

x = 40 and x = -60

The dimensions of a parking lot have to be positive values so you would use x = 40.

The width = x = 40

The length = x +20 = 40+20 = 60

The dimension of the parking lot is 40H x 60H

3241004551 [841]
The pressure due to the depth in a liquid can be calculated as:
P = ρgh; ρ is the density in kg/m³, g is the acceleration due to gravity in m/s² and h is the depth in the fluid.
ρ = 0.65 g/cm³ = 650 kg/m³
P = 650 x 9.81 x 3
= 19100 Pascals
Pressure in atm = 19100/101325 atm
= 0.188 atm

A model rocket is built to scale is 3 cm = 5 m. If the model is 9.4 cm tall, how tall is the actual rocket?
SashulF [63]
Since there may be an easier way, you can find how many centimeters there may be for one meter by dividing both sides (3 cm = 5 m ) by 5.
3 \div 5 = .6 \\ 5 \div 5 = 1
So, .6 cm= 1 m
This will make it easy to divide to find the actual ticket size.
You have to find how many .6 there are in 9.4 by dividing:
9.4 \div .6 = 15 \frac{2}{3}
The rocket would be
15 \frac{2}{3}
m tall.

Find the area of a circle with a radius of 2.5 inches. round to the nearest tenth. use 3.14 for pi.
nignag [31]

Answer:

a=19.6 inches^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a circle can be found using

a=πr^2

We know the radius is 2.5, so we can substitute it in for r

We can also substitute 3.14 in for π

a=(3.14)*(2.5^2)

a=(3.14)*(6.25)

a=19.625

Round to the nearest tenth

a=19.6 inches^2
