Answer:

Translation is a term used in geometry to describe a function that moves an object a certain distance. The object is not altered in any other way. It is not rotated, reflected or re-sized. In a translation, every point of the object must be moved in the same direction and for the same distance.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hope that helped :)

Answer:

"Sliding": moving a shape without rotating or flipping it.

The shape still looks exactly the same, just in a different place.

Step-by-step explanation:

In Euclidean geometry, a translation is a geometric transformation that moves every point of a figure or a space by the same distance in a given direction. A translation can also be interpreted as the addition of a constant vector to every point, or as shifting the origin of the coordinate system.

mart [117]

Answer:

In the given figure:

The reflex angle \angle DOB=3y and \angle AOD = y

\angle COB = \angle AOD = y  [By vertical angle theorem]

From the given we can say that:

\angle AOC and \angle COB are supplementary angles.

Supplementary angles states that the two measure are add up to 180 degree.

⇒ \angle AOC +\angle COB = 180^{\circ}          .....[1]

then; the reflex angle DOB is:

\angle DOB = \angle AOD + \angle AOC + \angle COB

Substitute the given values we get;

3.5y=y+180^{\circ}

Subtract y from both sides we get;

2.5 y = 180^{\circ}

Divide both sides by 2.5 we get;

y = 72^{\circ}

\angle DOB = 3y = 3.5(72) =252^{\circ}

We have to find the non reflex \angle DOB

Non reflex angle DOB is;

\angle DOB = 360^{\circ}-252^{\circ} = 108^{\circ}

Therefore, the non-reflex angle DOB is 108 degree.

Whats the solution to the system of inequalities? <br> -3x-y+z=6 <br> -3x-y+3z=0<br> -3z=3
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

  This system of equations has <em>no solution</em>. It is inconsistent.

Step-by-step explanation:

The last equation tells you z = -1.

Substituting this value for z in the other two equations allows them to be written as ...

  -3x -y = 7

  -3x -y = 3

There are no values of x and y that can make both these equations true.

Solve<br> -8x - 3y = -5<br> -2x + 7y = -9
k0ka [10]

Answer:

x = 1

y = - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

-8x - 3y = -5

-2x + 7y = -9  | × (-4)

-8x - 3y = - 5

8x - 28y = 36  +

________________

- 8x + 8x - 3y - 28y = - 5 + 36

- 31y = 31

31y = - 31

y = - 1

- 8x - 3(-1) = - 5

- 8x + 3 = - 5

- 8x = - 8

8x = 8

x = 1
