She  kept 27 for herself because 40% of 300 greeting cards is 120, so the remaining is 180 cards. 85% of 180 cards is 153 leaving you only 27 cards. to find the percent of something just multiply them for instance when trying to find 40% of 300 cards just multiply 300 by .4

If f(x)=2x-4, what would be the answer if f(3)-1??
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

1

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the function

f(x) = 2x - 4

and we want to know the value of f(3) - 1.

The first step is to find f(3) ; we can subtract 1 from it at the end! But what does f(3) mean?

Basically, we're saying <em>"what is the value of the function when </em>x = 3<em> ?"</em>

So, we simply replace x with 3 in the function, and we get:

f(3) = 2\times 3 - 4 = 2.

Finally, we subtract 1 to find f(3) - 1 = 1.
