Activity life produces gases in the atmosphere that impacts on the earth's climate. Animals produce gases such as carbon dioxide and methane that are potent greenhouse gases. These gases cause greenhouse effects that cause a warming of the global climate.
On the other hand, photosynthetic organisms like plants produce oxygen as a waste product. Oxygen acts as an ozone by scattering more sunlight back to space hence reducing the warming of the earth and making it cooler.
I think that the skeletal and muscular systems both play part in that.
