Although I do not agree with this method, by using guilt the other feels obligated to help. This person is passive. Example: If you don't help me with this project, I will fail.

Another example could be if you get an F on a test you knew about for a while and didn’t even bother to study then your mom talks to you and says I am really disappointed in you and expected better. Then you realize that you will actually study for the test.
