The answer is A I believe, the subscript 2 indicates that there are two magnesium ions for each ion of chlorine. the chloride ion is twice the size of the magnesium ion. magnesium and chlorine form a double covalent bond. there are two chloride ions for each magnesium ion.

Answer: Option (b) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

It is known that when we write a chemical formula then the subscript present in it represents the number of atoms of an element are participating in the chemical bonding.

For example, as the given compound is MgCl_{2}.

So here, no subscript is present on magnesium atom which means that its subscript is 1 and chlorine atom has a subscript 2 which means that there are 2 atoms of chlorine are present in MgCl_{2}.

Therefore, we can conclude that the subscript 2 indicate in the compound MgCl_{2} that there are 2 chloride ions for each magnesium ion.

<h2>Hey There!</h2><h2>_____________________________________</h2><h2>Answer:</h2><h2>----------------------------------------------------------------------</h2><h2>ELECTROPLATING </h2>

Electroplating the plating one metal on to the another metal, It is mostly used for preventing corrosion by using copper or chromium or decorate the object by using gold or silver plating.

__________________________________________________________

<h3>Principle:</h3>

When electricity is passed the thin layer of metal is deposited on another metal and water molecule given out as a By-Product, Thus this process works on the principle of Hydrolysis.

<h2>_____________________________________</h2><h2>QUESTION:</h2>

A) Electrolysis

B) Chromium prevents corrosion and gives the fine shining touch to the objects.

C) The metal which is deposited to the object i.e. spoon will be connected to the positive electrode of a battery, Thus it is anode. The spoon at which electroplating is need to be done is connected to the negative electrode, thus the Spoon is cathode.

Which type of equilibrium exists in a sealed flask containing Br2(ℓ) and Br2(g) at 298 K and 1.0 atm?(1) static phase equilibriu
marishachu [46]
The correct answer is 3.

A dynamic phase equilibrium is when a reversible reaction no longer changes its ratio of reactants to products. However, substances continue to move between the chemicals at an equal rate, which means the net change is 0. This is known as a steady state.

Phosphoric acid is neutralized by potassium hydroxide according to the following reaction:
rusak2 [61]
Balance the reaction first:

3KOH + H3PO4 —> K3PO4 + 3H2O

So for every mol of H3PO4, you need 3 mol of OH- to fully neutralize the acid, since H3PO4 is polyprotic.

0.0200 L KOH • (2.000 mol KOH / L KOH) • (1 mol H3PO4 / 3 mol KOH) = 0.0133 mol H3PO4

Divide this by the volume of H3PO4 to get the concentration.

0.0133 mol H3PO4 / 0.0250 L = 0.532 M H3PO4

Study the following reaction carefully. What classification should this reaction have? 4Al + 3O 2 2Al 2 O 3
nikitadnepr [17]

The reaction is a synthesis…

4Al + 3O_2 \longrightarrow 2Al_2O_3\\

… because <em>two substances are combining to make one other substance</em>.

4\stackrel{\hbox{0}}{\hbox{Al}} + 3\stackrel{\hbox{0}}{\hbox{O}}_2 \longrightarrow 2\stackrel{\hbox{+3}}{\hbox{Al}}_2\stackrel{\hbox{-2}}{\hbox{O}}_3\\

It is also a <em>reduction-oxidation reaction</em> because the <em>oxidation number of Al increases</em> from 0 to +3 and the <em>oxidation number of O</em> decreases from 0 to -2.
